The Continental Supersports began as an under the radar project exploring the possibilities of reducing weight to realise the full potential of the car’s already formidable W12 power unit.
The project resulted in a car re-engineered, re-tuned and re-mapped to achieve phenomenal supercar potency. 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds (0-100km/h 3.9 seconds). 621bhp (463kW/630PS). 800Nm (590 Ib ft) @ 2000 to 4500rpm.

Biofuel will play an integral role in helping Bentley achieve our far-reaching environmental strategy. The first stage is to reduce our CO2 emissions by at least 15% across our entire range. The second stage is the introduction of a new powertrain offering a 40% improvement in fuel efficiency and the third is to make 100% of our range compatible with renewable fuels. Delivering all three by 2012. This commitment takes shape in the Continental Supersports, a supercar that is capable of running seamlessly on bioethanol (E85), gasoline or a mix of the two and delivering a net CO2 reduction of 70% on a well-to-wheel basis without sacrificing performance and luxury.
Biofuels can dramatically reduce CO2 emissions on a well-to-wheel basis due to its closed, renewable and sustainable cycle which reabsorbs the CO2 it releases. Importantly, second generation bioethanol can be responsibly derived using biomass such as crop waste and forestry residues, not important food crops. As a renewable resource, there is a secure supply for the future with biofuels projects also bringing investment benefits to agriculture and emerging economies.

FlexFuel technology will ensure our engines run on bioethanol (E85),
gasoline or any mix of the two, Biofuel is blended with gasoline in a
variety of percentages ranging from E10 (10% bioethanol) to the most
widely know E85 (85% bioethanol). It offers a net CO2 reduction of
between 50-80% on a well-to-wheel basis. Well-to-wheel is the
measurement of CO2 released by a fuel from its production well to its
combustion or deployment wheel.
